Lying just 22 kilometers south west of Kathmandu, Chitlang is a popular tourist destination near Kathmandu Valley. This beautiful village holds great significance in Nepali history as its locals had carried cars all the way to Kathmandu before the capital city was connected to road network. Visit to Chitlang can be extended to other nearby destinations like Daman and Chisapani Gadhi, among others.
Chitlang, which lies 1833 meters above sea level, is a very cool and pleasing place.Major inhabitants here are Newar, Tamang, Chettri, Brahman and Gurung,etc. The village is rich in biodiversity as 160 species of birds and animals have been recorded here. There is also a goat cheese factory in the village.
Hiking, trekking, cycling, campaign are some of the activities that can be done in Chitlang.
Daman(2100m) is very popular hill station in Makwanpur district. This amazingly beautiful place lies 80 kilometers west of Kathmandu. It used to be a major stopover on Tribhuvan Highway,the only road connecting Nepal to India — before a new highway opened up along the banks of Trishuli River. Though the area lacks heydays of the past, it is still an exotic destination. Major attraction of Daman is breathtaking mountain views, botanical garden, Risheshwar Mahadev Temple, among others.

Kakani is a popular hill station on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Situated at an elevation of some 2,200 meters above sea level, Kakani gives a quick respite to those who want to make a short escape from the madding crowd of Kathmandu.
